Both Jasen and I have a huge passion for learning and teaching. We believe community and helping other local professional photographers grow. We our self wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for such great local support and photography get togethers. I (Chisty) came here from an amazing community and support system alive and burning in Washington DC. When I came to Phoenix in September I found it hard to find a group of photographers that trusted in each other and helped each other grow. We did find one networking group that we just LOVE but wanted a more hands on educational kind of group. Having both would be ideal. My friends back east connected me with Rob Nicholson of Humbled Eyes Photography. Better known as rob Ninja. I’m not sure if he gave him self that name or not… Any way, he puts together a group called Photog Shootout in 13 different cities. We were excited to have him out and see what he could show us. Both Jasen, myself and Andy Andrews taught about 30ish photographers. We spent 45 min in smalls groups shooting and teaching posing, light and composition. Rob wrapped it up with a little Q and A. We had a blast, plenty to eat and drink all night long. Later that evening Jasen and I were asked to represent Photog Shootout for Phoenix. We never dreamed that we would be the one to host or teach at these gatherings. We so love helping and working hand in hand with other photographers. We are looking forward to 5 more this year! A huge thank you to Rob and we will see you in San Diego in a week!
