Where to start! This couple holds so many emotions of mine. I still remember the day Brandon called us while we were visiting family in Reno to tell us he was engaged and that they must have us as their photographers! Brandon and I go waaaaay back! Back to 8th grade science. He was the funny guy that sat in front of me, encouraging my inner rebel to do just that. So needless to say we goofed our way through science class that year. I still have no idea how we ever passed. That was the start of our awesome friendship.
Brandon and Melissa flew me out to my home town area of Cincinnati, Oh a few weeks ago to photograph their engagement session. But the festivities started that Friday evening at the Olive Garden with our 2 boys that are just a month apart. That was a riot but I’m pretty sure we ruined a few date nights around us. It was here that I realized how perfectly matched they are for each other. Brandon said it best, she’s a male version of him but I must add much much prettier. What an amazing woman!
She outdid me in a competition of who had the most baby snacks in their diaper bag. But I have some time to make that up before we photograph them at their wedding in Kawaii in a few weeks!
Here is a glimpse into their engagement session just a few weeks ago! Melissa knew exactly what she wanted, dark and moody! Yes we took happy and sunshine but these are what we were ultimately after! Huge thank you to another middle school friend of mine, Ryan Gambrel for assisting! He failed to tell me he had to be up at like 3am to go to work the next morning.
Congrats Brandon and Melissa! Can’t wait to see you and share an amazing week with you in just 2 WEEKS! (EEEK!)
